Our Founder

The founder of B.M.E.M.S, Late Shri. M A Bhasme was born on 16^th of October 1927 in Hubli. He was born to a humble middle class family with 9 siblings.

He started off with his education at Basel Mission Kannada Medium Primary Boys School & completed his schooling at Lamington High School. He then pursued his B. Com at J G College of Commerce & went on complete his B.Ed at Kartsideshwar College. Furthermore he supported his own education by pursuing his B.A Honors by taking up a part time job at the office of Divisional Controller, State Transport, Hubli Division as Clerk at the Railway Ration Centre in the year 1952.

He grew up being a horatious reader, a passionate football player having won many medals and certificates, diligent, hardworking, obedient & well behaved as revered by one of the teachers at Fatima High School having known him since childhood.

At the age of 26, he found the love of his life and got married to Smt. Sulochana Chandra Leela on 20^th of April 1953 & was blessed with 4 children.

With all his good, God has blessed him with a huge reputation on every ground that his feet took him. Right from his career of Clerk to a Founder of B.M.E.M.S, a Chairman at the Hubli Indian Christian Urban Co-operative Credit Society, Ltd. Hubli & retired as the Headmaster of Basel Mission Kannada Medium Boys High School. He was instrumental in giving financial support to many students who pursued their higher education. He was a beacon of light in the life of community fellowmen. He passed away at a very young shocking age of 58 years due to brain hemorrhage.

All through his life he has been an instrument of peace, love, joy to his family, friends & to every person he came across which is a beautiful legacy to be carried forward.
